Important update: new CA–US tariffs and what it means for your order

Update · August 19, 2026
The tariffs are on pause for three days.
Late Tuesday night - less than two hours before the 50% tariffs were due to take effect - the White House announced a three-day pause while negotiations continue. Prime Minister Mark Carney described it as a postponement, saying “substantial progress has been made, although there is important work still to be done.”
What this means for you: the current duty rates hold through the end of the day on Friday. If you were planning an order, that is your window.
There is no guarantee about what happens after Friday, and no word yet on whether any deal would cancel the tariffs permanently. We are still watching, and we will update this page again as soon as we know more.

We want to give our customers a heads-up as early as we can.
New tariffs on goods shipped from Canada to the United States are expected to take effect, and import duties on a wide range of products are set to rise significantly.
What this means for your order
Orders placed before the change take effect still ship under the current duty rates. If you have something on your list, or a restock you were planning, placing the order now is the safest option.
We don't yet know the exact final rates or how they will be applied at the border - the details are still moving. We are following this closely and will update this page as soon as we have confirmed numbers.
