Temporary Shipping Suspension to Several EU Countries

As of June 30, 2026, Canada Post has temporarily suspended shipping of parcels containing goods to 12 European Union countries. This is a temporary measure related to new EU customs rules, not a decision by our store. Canada Post is already working on a solution, and we are waiting for shipping to be restored. We’ll keep you updated.

What happened

Effective July 1, 2026, the European Union is introducing changes to customs and Value Added Tax (VAT) rules for low-value international shipments. The key change is the removal of the €150 duty-free threshold. Previously, goods valued under €150 entered the EU without customs duty; now, nearly all commercial goods are subject to duty regardless of their value.

Because of the uncertainty around exactly how the new rules will be applied, Canada Post has decided to temporarily suspend shipping of parcels containing goods to a number of EU countries, until further notice.

Which countries are affected

The suspension applies to the following destinations:

• 🇩🇰 Denmark
• 🇫🇮 Finland
• 🇫🇷 France
• 🇩🇪 Germany
• 🇮🇪 Ireland
• 🇮🇹 Italy
• 🇱🇺 Luxembourg
• 🇵🇹 Portugal
• 🇪🇸 Spain

Shipping to other countries is currently operating as usual.

What this means for your order

• New orders to the countries listed above cannot be shipped via Canada Post’s standard parcel service for now.
• Orders already placed and shipped that are in transit may, in some cases, be returned to sender. If this affects your order, we will get in touch with you.

What’s next

Canada Post has stated that it is working on a solution to this situation. We are closely monitoring updates and waiting for shipping to these countries to be restored. As soon as the suspension is lifted, we will update this page and let you know separately.
