Can I bake SweetyBijou silicone mold in the oven?

Can I bake SweetyBijou silicone mold in the oven?

❓ Can I bake SweetyBijou silicone mold in the oven at 145°C (293°F)?

Yes, you can. Our silicone stone cabochon molds can safely handle temperatures up to around 150°C (302°F) for baking polymer clay.

❓ Will it damage the mold?

Not immediately, but repeated heating can slowly make the silicone harder and less flexible.

❓ Can it change color?

Yes, after several baking cycles, it may turn yellow or slightly darker, but that doesn’t affect performance.

❓ What should I avoid?

Don’t exceed 150°C.

Don’t cool it suddenly (no cold water).

Avoid placing it directly on the oven rack; use a metal tray.

❓ How to extend its life?

Heat the mold together with the oven, not in a preheated oven.

Use one “baking mold” and keep another as a master copy.

💡 In short

Safe at 145°C, but frequent baking shortens lifespan and flexibility.
